Creative Python Programming with Strype
by Michael Kölling and Neil Brown
Creative Python Programming with Strype is a sequence of Python programming textbooks that emphasise creativity, engagement and meaningful applications. It is aimed at school age learners, aged between 13 and 18, and their teachers. We hope that readers do not only learn how to program, but why programming might be something interesting and valuable to them.
In an engaging and hands-on context, students of this book will learn fundamental programming concepts and good programming practices.
This sequence of books takes the reader from a complete novice, with no prior knowledge assumed, to sophisticated programs. Each volume can be studied on its own – each forms a coherent unit – or they can be used in sequence, going through a carefully thought-out path of activities and exercises to build up to higher skill levels. A more detailed discussion of the approach can be found in the preface of Volume 1.
